Today, our attorney Harvey explains about Workers' compensation.

Q: Can a foreign worker without proper visa receive compensation for the injury?

 Most unregistered migrant workers are giving up on their rights to obtain compensations 

because they are afraid if they report the incident and apply for the workers' compensation, they will be immediately given a deportation order. 

However, since the Korean Labor Laws shall apply to every business or workplace whether foreign 

workers have a proper visa or not. Which means, workers who suffer any industrial accidents can apply for compensation provided by the Korean Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance.
